Mike's speciality areas are Sales and Management Development, Human Resources, P&L Management, Coaching and Training Design and Delivery. He has excellent skills in creating a culture for change having gained huge experience by implementing both legislative and best practice change within the Financial Services Sector.
Mike is a member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development. He has a passion for helping individuals and companies achieve their key objectives. He is an advocate of consultancy services, believing strongly that an independent professional view will always bring new ideas to the table and assist in developing the ideas of those already there.
Having gained significant experience with small, medium and larger businesses, Mike readily identifies with the illusion that can exist in any business that “the company's business and profit objectives will be met by utilising internal resources”. Mike's belief is that in reality individuals in companies do their job conscientiously and with great enthusiasm, although they often focus on what is around them rather than stepping out of the box to consider and implement new ideas.
Mike says “We help the key individuals within a business to move from Limitation Thinking to Possibility Thinking and key to our service is implementing these ideas into a sound profitable business culture. I am a huge advocate of training and development structures and processes and there are many of them, however for any business it’s really about the basics of sitting down, understanding key challenges and giving a commitment to deal with them. Mike is also keen to recognise that the needs and requirements of some businesses may be more basic. “Some businesses go through periods where they have high short term demand for managers to help implement changes and initiatives. Or where short to medium term additions are required to their training or HR function. We can deliver to all of these requirements within Partnered Solutions using both internal resources and our extensive network of external resources, all retained under the Partnered Solutions umbrella”.
